Great news! Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area will re-open for business on December 28. An easy 20-minute drive from Shell Campground, this is a great asset to Big Horn County. While the first thing you think of regarding Antelope Butte is downhill skiing, there will multiple summer activities as well (but we’ll talk more about that later).
Since it’s December, let’s talk about wintertime fun! The Park Lift will be open everyday between December 28 and January 6. After that, the lift will be open Friday, Saturday and Sundays until March 2019. Equipment rentals are available and it is all brand new equipment!
Lift tickets are very reasonable: adults are $20, student/military/seniors are $15, youth ages 6-12 is $10, and 5 and under is free. The summit lift to the top of the mountain is not yet open and guests should bring their own food and drinks.
