Wyoming accommodations to watch the solar eclipse
We are getting ready for our summer season here at the campground, including the total solar eclipse on August 21st. This will be the first total eclipse of the sun visible by the contiguous US since 1979, so we think its a pretty big deal! Wyoming is one of the best places in the country to watch the astronomical event. Shell Campground is located just over an hour’s drive from the direct path of the eclipse. Take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity!
No kidding, accommodations across the state are near capacity. As of today, we have several RV spaces, cabins and tent spaces available, but we anticipate them filling to capacity very soon.
While in the area, check out some of the other spectacular activities. Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park are a must-do on every traveler’s list. However, we highly recommend checking out some of our favorite activities in Shell, Wyoming and the Big Horn mountain and basin area. Of course, make sure you view the eclipse responsibly so you do not damage your vision.
